We have met via electronic meeting system and completed the General Assembly process, which, in accordance with our association’s bylaws, is required to be held every two years.
Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, chair of the Board of Directors for 2023-2025 term presented the activity and financial reports. The internal audit report was presented. Both reports were approved, the Board was acquitted and a new board was elected.
The notice of the General Assembly has been submitted to the Provincial Directorate of Civil Society Relations, and the new board has assumed its duties.
The Board of Directors for the 2025-2027 term has distributed its responsibilities among its members.
Accordingly:

Our General Assembly confirmed that our Association, thanks to the efforts and contributions of our members, volunteers, and supporters, especially our friends in leadership, has reached a position in Turkey where it is sought out and consulted when it comes to “old age” and “the elderly.”
During the General Assembly, it was emphasized that our Association’s mission has gained even greater importance in “an aging Turkey” compared to the past decade, and that the experiences we have gained through our projects, advocacy, and awareness-raising efforts are assets that we must protect and further develop.
Ferhat Boratav, who assumed the presidency of the Board of Directors for the new term, stated on the occasion of the completion of the General Assembly process: “We have renewed our confidence and recharged our energy. We will always be grateful to all our members who have contributed to our work over the past 11 years with their ideas, efforts, and material and moral support. Now it is time to roll up our sleeves and develop new ideas, activities, and projects.”
